Questions and answers

What makes the Rigi a special place for your stay?

Away from the hustle and bustle, a stay on the Rigi offers you exceptional tranquillity, breathtaking views, and enchanting forest paths where you can leave everyday life behind. Enjoy magical sunrises, savour the silence throughout the day, and start your hikes right next to the accommodation. There is no traffic noise here, and thanks to the location, you may encounter only a handful of people on some days. Perfect for those looking for a place to truly unwind.

How does the luggage transport work?

At the Vitznau station, inform the driver that you are guests of “Rigi-Naturferien” from the Oberebnet farm and that you would like to transfer your luggage to the cable transport at the Freibergen station. Please also mention that we will assist you with the transfer. Ask the driver which door to load the luggage through and board there with your bags. At Freibergen station, we will be waiting to help you load your luggage onto the material cableway. The train will be waiting for us. Afterwards, we continue one more stop to Romiti-Felsentor. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the holiday apartment, where your luggage will already be waiting for you.

Why doesn’t the train always stop at Romiti station?

The train stops on request. In the new Rigibahn trains, there is a button that you can press if you want to get off. For example, if you want to get off at Romiti-Felsentor station on the way up, press the button after you have passed Freibergen station. The old trains do not have buttons. When boarding the train, inform the driver that you want to get off at Romiti-Felsentor station.
